Vintage chic hotels

I keep hearing a lot about the Ace hotels in the U.S. The first time was when a friend stayed there and sent me some snapshots of the place. He said, “I want my place to look like this!” There’s the original Seattle location (above), one in Portland, new York or their newest hotel and “Swim Club” in palm Springs.

As you can see from these photos, it’s not your typical inn and I may not put my mother up there. What I like about Ace is that the rooms look like you’re staying at your friend’s really hip and cool apartment, except with all the conveniences of a hotel. They are all pet-friendly, have different eco-friendly elements like the use of low-VOC paints and vintage furniture, and in Portland (above) they have free rental bicycles to tour around the city with.
