Crestron Land new UFO Remote
Julie Jacobson has an exclusive over at CEPro on a new Creston remote due to launch in 2011. The aptly named ‘UFO-4X’ is a disc shaped craft and its touchcreen can serve as a trackpad as well as a virtual keyboard. It attaches to its base by magnets so can be wall mounted and it supports Adobe Flash for high quality UI design.
Of course the UFO is at its heart a home automation controller, adjusting your lights, AV, security and HVAC systems for example. The RF range is said to be a healthy 200 feet andthe 4.3″ active matrix color touchscreen display has asensor to switch between portrait and landscape modes depending on how you hold it.
